FAQ
IS THE SAY NO TO KILLER ROBOTS CAMPAIGN REAL?
The campaign in the book is based on a real live campaign called The Campaign to Stop Killer Robots. I used a different name so as not to interfere with their amazing work. The Campaign to Stop Killer Robots is run by New Zealander, Mary Wareham. It's a collection of NGOs opposed to killer robots. You can find out more about the international movement here and New Zealand activity here.

IS RTMS A TREATMENT FOR AUTISM?
As I understand it, rTMS is still under investigation for its usefulness to people on the Autistic Spectrum. The account in the book was informed by the experiences of John Elder Robison with TMS. You can find out more about him here. His book Switched On is an account of undergoing treatment and the impacts of it on him. It's a great read!
WHERE CAN I FIND OUT MORE ABOUT AI AND THE IMPACTS OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES?
For the downside of autonomous weapons in warfare, see The Campaign to Stop Killer Robots. For the positive use of robots and other technologies, see the Future of Life Institute. Future of Life are experts who embrace technology and want to harness it for the good. Note, they don't support weapons that make life or death decisions without human intervention either. See their experts talking about the debate about killer robots here.
